Gift Ideas

Hello everyone,

Wow -- can you believe June is here?

Aside from the lovely weather, June also brings lots of fun occasions -- weddings, graduation parties, Father's Day, not to mention baby showers and birthdays. With that in mind I'd thought I'd feature a couple of gift ideas for the ladies on your list.

Margie, owner of Etsy shop studio 1227 mentioned recently that she had paired my keepsake box with her earrings on Pinterest. Today I'm featuring that pairing, along with a couple of other ones.

Here are her beautiful pink tear drop earrings!

Pink pearl earrings. Pale pink bead earrings. Pearl dangles. Pearl tear drops. Gifts for her. Delicate earrings.

Wouldn't they be a lovely surprise to find in this pink keepsake box from my shop, Pretty Byrd Designs.

This gorgeous turquoise wrap bracelet caught my eye. Isn't the color outstanding?

Turquoise bracelet. Teal bead bracelet. Turquoise wrap bracelet. Turquoise bangle. Southwest memory wire bracelet. Fits most wrists.

I think it makes a great presentation with my small keepsake box in matching colors.

I have one more combo to show you. The natural colors in this beautiful beaded necklace are so appealing.

Yellow bead necklace. Brown beaded necklace. Green bead necklace. Unique boho necklace. Green Pale Yellow Tan. Natural colors.

Here's just the box to use for gifting. I love how the color of the yellow beads matches the color of the embellishment on the lid of the box.

Vintage Advertising Cards

Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day everyone!

I've always been drawn toward vintage photos and newsprint and today I'm featuring cards I created using Deena's (from Ewe-N-Me Printables) Collage Sheet - Vintage Advertising 101.

Each page offers six different images in two sizes -- for a total of 12 images. I couldn't resist them!

I like to keep things simple so after printing out the sheet I cut out two of the smaller images and glued them each to a tag that was distress painted. I inked the edges of the image and the tag to give them a rustic look.

I used a kraft card as the base to keep the color palette neutral. I cut out a piece of yellow burlap and stapled that to the top and bottom of the card (stapling is so quick and unmessy!!). Burlap is fun to work with and it adds a lot of interest and texture to any project.

For the finishing touch, I added metallic embellishments -- a round tag and a hanger. They kept with the rustic and vintage look of the cards and also added some fun! These cards were super easy and super quick to make.

I hope you enjoyed today's feature! For more collage sheets, visit the Ewe-N-Me Printables website here.

Shabby Cats - Cards

Hi everyone!

Where I live we've moved from early spring to mid-summer this past week. The temps have really soared and everything is in full bloom! It's a gorgeous time of year and the colors of all the flowers and flowering trees are so pretty.

Today I'm featuring Ewe-N-Me Printable's Hang Tags - Shabby Cats on a couple of cards I created. The colors and images are so cheery and fun and perfect for this time of year. Each sheet will contain six different hang tags (three different designs).

Hang Tags - Shabby Cats

I started with a white card and layered it with a panel of white and yellow polka-dotted paper. I added a strip of white and turquoise polka-dotted ribbon -- the polka dots are just so much fun!

I hand stamped the greeting "Hello Good Friend" on a white square and placed that on top of the ribbon. The hang tags were so easy to use -- simply print on white cardstock and cut out. The colors work perfectly with the yellow and turquoise theme.

The final touch was adding two fabric flowers -- I love how they coordinate so well with the color and theme of the hang tags! So springlike and cheery!

I had a lot of fun working with these delightful shabby cats! So glad you stopped by.

Be sure to check out the Ewe-N-Me Printables website here -- all tags, collage sheets and prim labels are only $1.00 now through May 20!!
