Wooden Gift Box

Here's a sweet little box that would look lovely on a dresser and fit in with a shabby chic decor.

The box was grey and I distress-painted it with one coat of oyster white acrylic paint. When that dried I added a coat of matte varnish. I love this pretty paper butterfly so I added that to the front of the box.

I added four pearl beads to the lid, which I think gives the box a simple yet elegant look.

What a charming place for those keepsakes and treasures!
