Vintage Owls - Woodland Dream Cards

We've made it to the end of March and I am looking ahead to lovely spring days and spending time outdoors! When I saw Deena's (from Ewe-N-Me Printables) Hang Tags - Vintage Owls I thought of a woodland forest and the beauty of nature. These images are truly striking!

Hang Tags - Vintage Owls

While the colors remind me more of autumn than spring, I couldn't resist using them to make a few any occasion greeting cards. There are three different images and you will get three larger images and six smaller ones on an 8.5 x 11 page. I used the larger size for my cards.

I started with a brown card which I then layered with a panel of ivory textured paper. I stapled a strip of brown burlap to each card and then glued the owl image to each. The images really stand out against the ivory and brown background.

For a bit of decoration I added a paper square stamped with inspirational words in brown ink. I then adorned each card with a vintage style embellishment.

I had so much fun making these cards and just love those owls!

Hi everyone!

While sorting through and organizing my stash of supplies recently, I came across five rectangular chipboard pieces. I thought they'd be great for creating ATCs which is a project I haven't tried before. Lucky me, they worked perfectly with Ewe-N-Me Printables Hang Tags - St. Patty's Day Tickets.

Hang Tags - St. Pattys Tickets

There are five different ticket designs and you will get two of each on a page.

I started off by spraying each chipboard card with a gold mist paint (it's hard to see in the photo but the mist leaves a shimmery, gold finish). When the paint dried I glued the five different images to each card.

The printable tickets fit perfectly onto each card (the size of the cards are 2-3/4 x 3-3/4).

These images are so festive and I love the variety!! As a final touch, I added some embellishments that I had on hand -- green and gold gemstones.

Making these ATCs was so much fun and I love the way they turned out.

I hope I've inspired you to try something new. Be sure to visit the Ewe-N-Me Printables website for more hang tags and inspiration!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all! See you next time!

Whimsical Mini Journals with Victorian Cats

Hello all!

Today I thought I'd bring a bit of whimsy and feature several mini journals I created using Deena's (from Ewe-N-Me Printables) adorable Hang Tags - Victorian Cats. These images were irresistible -- the kitty faces are so sweet!

Hang Tags - Victorian Cats

There are four different images and you will get two of each on an 8.5" x 11" sheet.

The colors on the images are soft so I decided to cover each of the mini journals with pastel cardstock.

I adorned each journal with lace or a decorative trimming and a vintage style embellishment!

But, my favorite part was adding the printed words to give a whimsical touch. It was so much fun to match up the words with these adorable kitties!

Birthday Card with Sepia Swirls

Hello and Happy New Year!

Winter has just begun, but already my mind is on flowers! Deena'sBottle Cap Images - Sepia Swirls provided me with the perfect opportunity to create a lovely floral birthday card.

The bottlecap images are not something that I have worked with very much, and I thought the new year would be a great time to explore some new creations.

I love the Sepia Swirl images because they appeal to my love of vintage and they are so striking with the black floral image against the sepia script. There are six different one-inch round images -- and you will receive six of each on a page.

Bottle Cap Images - Sepia Swirls

For my card, I punched out four different images with my 1-1/4 inch punch. I like the white border with this size punch because it really makes the images pop against the kraft paper flowers that I adhered them to.

I cut out stems and leaves with black cardstock and glued them to a Stitched Greeting Card - Kraft with Canvas from Canvas Corp Brands. I then adhered the flowers to the top of each stem.

I attached the Happy Birthday panel to the bottom corner and adorned that with two pearl embellishments. The color of this card is so perfect of this time of year -- the flowers are so sweet but they don't look out of season.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Wishing you all a wonderful New Year!

File Folder Gift Tags

Hi Everyone!

One of my favorite activities of the Christmas season is wrapping gifts. I love playing with different colored wrapping paper and ribbons and string and bows ... and well, I know -- you either love it or hate it!

Today I'm featuring gift tags that I made with Deena's adorable Ginger Snowman Crocks Printable Hang Tags.

Hang Tags - Ginger Snowman Crocks

These tags are so sweet -- there are four different tags and you will get two of each on a sheet. All you need to do is print them out on heavy cardstock, cut, punch out a hole and add a ribbon or string!! So easy!

I decided to do something a bit different and created gift tags from little file folders that I had on hand.

The folders measure 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 and the hang tags fit perfectly on the front of the folder.

After cutting out the snowmen images, I glued them to the front of two kraft paper and two ivory folders. I stamped "Merry Christmas" on the tab of each folder and added a glittery brad to each.

These tags would look great on a gift wrapped in brown paper -- just add some natural colored string -- and what a delightful presentation that would make!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. For more gift wrapping inspiration, check out all of the Printable Hang Tags at the Ewe-N-Me website.

Merry Christmas all!

Sleigh Bells Ring!!!

Hi everyone! Happy December!

I'm NOT going to do the count down to Christmas (because I don't want to panic myself or any of you)!! But, if you are looking for easy, quick and BEAUTIFUL Christmas card ideas you are in luck today!!

The cards I'm featuring were created with Deena's (from Ewe-N-Me Printables) Label Sheet - Sleigh Bells Ring.

The downloadable features two different sizes of the label -- and you will get three of each size on an 8-1/2 x 11 page. Label sizes are 3 x 3.75" and 2.5 x 3.25.I used the larger size for my cards.

After printing out the sheet, I cut out one of the larger images and adhered it to piece of a natural colored corrugated tile. I love the texture of these tiles and they work so well with Deena's vintage images.  I adorned the tile with a blue ribbon and wooden snowflake embellishment that I sprayed with pearl mist to give it a sparkling finish. I attached the finished piece to a blue card -- and I love the way the blue enhances the beautiful Sleigh Bell image!

I created a similar card using a white tile background. It really gives the card a bright and festive feel! Can't you just hear those sleigh bells?

I hope this gives you inspiration to create your own beautiful and festive cards!

Spooky Halloween Cards

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited to be back and continuing on the Ewe-N-Me Printables design team!!

While it's hard to believe summer is a distant memory, autumn is such a great time of year. Who doesn't love the beautiful colors, cozy fires and comfy sweaters! Of course, you can't forget Halloween -- truly a fun, fun, fun holiday for everyone.

Today I'm featuring a couple of cards I created using Deena's Farmhouse Labels - Skeleton, Blackbird, Night Owl. There are three different images, in three different sizes. And, you will receive two pages with this downloadable -- one with a white background and the other with a tan background.

Farmhouse Labels - Skeleton - Blackbird - Night Owl

The cards I created used the white background.

I started with a panel of dark brown cardstock to which I stapled a piece of burlap. The texture of burlap is so perfect for fall and adds to that rustic look. I then attached the panel to a kraft card.

I then cut out the larger images and glued them to the card, atop the burlap piece. Aren't these images fun? For a final touch, I attached a decorative paper clip to each card. I found these clips at the dollar store and knew they'd come in handy for one of my projects!!

The cards were so easy to make!! Give them a try!

The Wonderful Season of Autumn

I haven't posted in quite some time ... actually since mid-summer.

But now that we've entered into autumn, I thought I'd post a few of my latest creations. I love the rich, beautiful colors of the season.

This card is simple and rustic with lots of detail. I love working with burlap and materials that add texture. The image is Hang Tags - Prim Pears (courtesy of Ewe-N-Me Printables).

Here's another card done in rich and vibrant gold!!

The gold mesh ribbon really enhances the earthy colors!

Here's a set of small note cards that feature rich color and lots of texture!

The "Blessings" message is hand-stamped, and the flowers are hand crafted from a lovely floral print.

If you are interested in these cards or in search of something similar, please stop by my Etsy shop Pretty Byrd Designs. I'll be posting more creations in upcoming days.

Vintage Advertising Cards

Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day everyone!

I've always been drawn toward vintage photos and newsprint and today I'm featuring cards I created using Deena's (from Ewe-N-Me Printables) Collage Sheet - Vintage Advertising 101.

Each page offers six different images in two sizes -- for a total of 12 images. I couldn't resist them!

I like to keep things simple so after printing out the sheet I cut out two of the smaller images and glued them each to a tag that was distress painted. I inked the edges of the image and the tag to give them a rustic look.

I used a kraft card as the base to keep the color palette neutral. I cut out a piece of yellow burlap and stapled that to the top and bottom of the card (stapling is so quick and unmessy!!). Burlap is fun to work with and it adds a lot of interest and texture to any project.

For the finishing touch, I added metallic embellishments -- a round tag and a hanger. They kept with the rustic and vintage look of the cards and also added some fun! These cards were super easy and super quick to make.

I hope you enjoyed today's feature! For more collage sheets, visit the Ewe-N-Me Printables website here.

Shabby Cats - Cards

Hi everyone!

Where I live we've moved from early spring to mid-summer this past week. The temps have really soared and everything is in full bloom! It's a gorgeous time of year and the colors of all the flowers and flowering trees are so pretty.

Today I'm featuring Ewe-N-Me Printable's Hang Tags - Shabby Cats on a couple of cards I created. The colors and images are so cheery and fun and perfect for this time of year. Each sheet will contain six different hang tags (three different designs).

Hang Tags - Shabby Cats

I started with a white card and layered it with a panel of white and yellow polka-dotted paper. I added a strip of white and turquoise polka-dotted ribbon -- the polka dots are just so much fun!

I hand stamped the greeting "Hello Good Friend" on a white square and placed that on top of the ribbon. The hang tags were so easy to use -- simply print on white cardstock and cut out. The colors work perfectly with the yellow and turquoise theme.

The final touch was adding two fabric flowers -- I love how they coordinate so well with the color and theme of the hang tags! So springlike and cheery!

I had a lot of fun working with these delightful shabby cats! So glad you stopped by.

Be sure to check out the Ewe-N-Me Printables website here -- all tags, collage sheets and prim labels are only $1.00 now through May 20!!

Three in One

Hello everyone! Welcome to a new week!

Today I'm featuring Ewe-N-Me Printable's Gift Card Envelope - Birthday.

Gift Card Envelope - Birthday

This image is really sweet and what's great is that you get two gift card envelopes on one page. I used one image for the gift card and I created a coordinating birthday card and tag with the other one.

The gift card envelope is super-simple to make. Simply print, cut, fold and glue. It really doesn't get any easier. So cute!

I used the larger part of the second envelope as the feature on my birthday card and the smaller image for a tag. The gift card envelope easily fits inside the birthday card. Or, you could place it in a gift bag and attach the tag to the handle.

I like that I was able to make use of both images from one page! How fun to have a coordinated set, too!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!

Birds About Town Cards

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Today I'm featuring cards I made with Ewe-N-Me Printables Collage Sheet - Birds About Town. I have to say that these bird images are just delightful and it was so much fun to make these cards. You will get 12 images on a sheet and I used three of the larger images.

After cutting out the images, I glued them to a panel of yellow and white striped paper from 7Gypsies (Yellow and Ivory Ribbon Stripe). I then attached a piece of red and white gingham ribbon and a button.

As a finishing touch, I stamped "Just for You" onto white cardstock and attached that to the striped panel. I then glued the panel to an ivory card.

Aren't these birds so cheery and sweet? They make such a fun greeting!!

Live Simply Card

Hello -- and welcome to the first week Spring!

Resolutions are always so popular at the beginning of the year. And here we are, months later. Has anyone kept up with their New Year's Resolutions? It's never too late to start fresh and what better time than the beginning of a new season.

That's why I love Ewe-N-Me Printables Live Simply Bookmarks. What a great reminder -- and isn't this image great?

Bookmarks - Live Simply

I printed the downloadable on white cardstock and cut out one of the bookmarks to use on a greeting card.

I trimmed the image so that it would fit on my 4 x 5-1/2 size card. After gluing the image to a piece of lavender paper, I attached a strip of ivory lace trim and adhered to a white card.

I added a little wooden butterfly embellishment that I stamped with french script in black ink.

Isn't this little girl just delightful? In keeping with the theme, I kept this card simple. It was easy to create and I only needed a few embellishments.

Thanks so much for visiting today!
