Bring Flowers - Bookmarks

Happy Friday everyone!

It's time to start the weekend and a new month! I'm glad to say good-bye to February and winter. And, I'm looking forward to March and the return of spring and all it's beauty. Today I'm featuring bookmarks I made with Ewe-N-Me Printables Printable Bookmarks - Bring Flowers.

This downloadable is just gorgeous -- with the beautiful flowers and vintage sheet music background. There are four different images on a sheet and I printed out two sheets so that I could use the same image on the front and back of my bookmarks. All you have to do is print and cut -- so easy!

I punched a hole at the top of the bookmark so I could thread a piece of white lace trim through it. Unfortunately, doing so covers up the words "Bring Flowers" but the lace trim goes so well with the vintage look of these bookmarks.

I hand-stamped "just a note" on a scrap of white cardstock and attached that and a bit of black and white gingham ribbon to the bookmark. As a finishing touch, I added two clear beads -- I think they look like dewdrops that you'd find on a flower after a gentle rain shower.

Have a great weekend everyone -- and as always, thanks for visiting.

Inspirational Mini Journals

Happy Monday all!

Winter has been especially tough this year -- at least where I live -- up here in northern Ohio. Spring is officially less than one month away, but it's difficult to imagine with all this cold and snow! So, I'm thinking inspiration. I could use some and maybe you could, too!

Bottle Cap Images - Typewriter Keys - Tan

I used the Bottlecap Image Inserts - Typewriter Keys from Ewe-N-Me Printables to create a couple of inspirational mini-journals! This downloadable is just great because you will get a full alphabet along with duplicates of common letters as well as punctuation marks.

I printed the sheet on white cardstock and then used my 1-1/4" circle punch for the letters I used for my mini journals.

I wanted to make the typewriter key letters really stand out, so I used a neutral background. It's a kraft paper with mini dots and it showcases the letters so well. I added a piece of burlap ribbon and decorative paper butterfly. Simple, yet striking!

I love embellishments, so at the last minute I added this navy blue mini clothespin. It looks cute but can also serve as a page marker!

For my second mini journal, I used the same background and changed it up a bit with the letters and color. I just love how the the red embellishments pop and make the letters stand out!!

Fly like butterflies, hearts of joy ... aren't these just the inspiration we need right now!!

Please be sure to visit Ewe-N-Me Printables for more wonderful bottlecap images!

So glad you stopped by today!

Mini Journal and Tag Set

Hello everyone!

We've had another blast of winter here and I'm eagerly awaiting spring. One sure sign that spring is not far off is when I hear the birds chirping in the morning. With that in mind, these tags, Antique Nests, from Deena at Ewe-N-Me Printables seemed the perfect project to work on today.

Hang Tags - Antique Nests

I love the soft imagery mixed with the touches of blue. There are three images and you will get two of each on a sheet.

I decided to create a mini journal with a matching tag  -- I used all three images to make three different sets.

I printed the downloadable onto white cardstock and cut out all six images. As you can see, I kept one tag intact, and cut off the top and bottom from the matching one to use on the journal.

I cut out blue paper to size (3-1/4 x 4-1/2 - for the front and back covers) and glued the bird nest image to the front cover. The edges are decorated with scraps of white lace ribbon and trim. I then finished my journal by embellishing it with little pearl beads and a rustic button.

For the tag, I backed it with the same blue paper (not shown), added an eyelet to the top and tied pieces of twine and white string through it. Then I added a matching button and pearls beads.

These antique nests are so sweet -- I can't wait for spring! Don't they make a lovely set? Maybe you know someone who is longing for spring and would enjoy these!

Mini Shadowboxes

Happy Wednesday!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by and participated in the Ewe-N-Me Printables Valentine's Hop! It was a lot of fun ... stay tuned for more in upcoming weeks!!

Valentine's Day is just days away so today I'd like to show you a couple of sweet little shadowboxes I made recently with this holiday in mind.

The frame needed assembly -- but it was easily put together with a bit of kraft glue. After that, it was so simple. Using my small square punch (1-1/2) I punched out three squares of coordinating paper. I liked mixing the stripes with the plaid and florals!

Once the squares were glued in place, I added two distress-painted chipboard hearts and a lovely message!

I created another shadowbox using a mix of vintage style papers! I love the way it turned out!

The size of these mini shadowboxes is 5" x 1-1/2" and they are about 1/2" deep. They'd make a delightful and charming gift or would be so sweet just sitting on shelf.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Valentine Card Challenge

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a Valentine's Day card I created as part of the Canvas Corp Brands Valentine Challenge.

I started with a pink card as the base and then layered it with panels of 7Gypsies Trousseau paper. The pink and grey color palette is so soft and romantic!

I added a chipboard heart that I distress-painted pink and also a bit of white lace trim. "LOVE!" is hand stamped on an additional piece of Trousseau paper that's been placed on polka-dotted paper background!

Soft, romantic with a bit of whimsy!

I'm excited to announce that I was invited to be a Canvas Corp Brands Crew Member for 2015 and will be posting more projects throughout the year.

Postcard Valentine Greetings

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to February! Today is Groundhog Day and I am hoping he doesn't see his shadow -- I've had enough winter weather for this season!

One of the (few) benefits of winter is that I'm more inclined to spend time indoors -- which means more craft time! Today I'm featuring Valentine's Day cards that I created using Ewe-N-Me Printables Hang Tags - Postcard Valentine Greetings. I just love this downloadable because it is so pretty and the vintage style is a favorite of mine!!

You will get eight images on a page (two of each image). There are four different images, so I decided to make four cards.

I printed the tags on white cardstock, cut out four, and adhered them to panels of pastel pink and turquoise paper. I backed the pastel papers with dark brown paper and then attached each to a red card.

I added a strip of the brown paper under each tag and added three pearl embellishments. "Just for You" is stamped in brown ink onto coordinating pastel paper and attached with dimensional glue dots. If I were presenting this card with a gift, I could use the matching image as a coordinating gift tag!!

Glad you stopped by today -- and please be sure to join us February 6 - 8 for the Ewe-N-Me Printables Hop!

Hope to see you soon!
