Quick Valentine's Day Card

Hi everyone!

Where has this month gone? Seems like we were just celebrating Christmas Day and the New Year. And, here we are just a few weeks away from Valentine's Day! It's been a busy month and I haven't had time to craft nearly as much as I've wanted. I'm guessing it's the same for you, too!

Here's a quick Valentine's Day card I created using Ewe-N-Me Printables - Hang Tags - Prim Sheep 102.

I'm a big fan of Deena's hang tags because they are so versatile. This downloadable comes with three different images in two different sizes ... SO adorable!! I printed the sheet on white cardstock and selected one of the smaller tags. I layered a panel of vintage ledger paper onto a white card.

Now I love crafting with fabric but goodness knows I am not a sewer (or is it seamstress?)! At any rate, I took my blue fabric scrap and stapled it to a piece of cardstock. I then glued that to the card. The staples give a rustic look which is in keeping with the style of this card. And I love how the blue fabric makes this tag really stand out!!

I added an eyelet to the top of the tag and a bit of twine. I stamped the 'joy, love, happiness' message onto a scrap of the ledger paper and placed that beneath the tag. The button in the upper corner adds a little cheery touch! The charming heart on this tag makes it perfect for Valentine's Day! Encouragement Cards

When I saw these hang tags from Ewe-N-Me Printables, I just knew they'd be the perfect inspiration for the new year!

There are three different tags and they come in two sizes (for a total of six per sheet). 

Today I'm featuring three different cards using the smaller size tags (which are 2.5" x 3.25"). 

I printed the tags on white cardstock, cut them out  -- they have a distressed edge but I added a bit more dark brown ink to really make them pop.

Using an ivory card as the base, I attached a panel of yellow textured paper, added two strips of dotted ribbon and placed the tag in the center of the card.

I then added buttons and wooden hearts and butterfly embellishments to give these cards some extra charm.

The messages on these tags are so encouraging and inspirational, aren't they?

Tea Time!

Hi everyone! Winter is certainly in full force where I live. The temps have really plummeted in the past week. Saturday's high was 5-degrees. Brrrr!

It's the perfect time for a hot cup of tea! And, what lovelier way to present it than with my latest project from Ewe-N-Me Printables -- Time for Tea - Tea Bag Envelope downloadable. Two tea envelopes print on one sheet and there is also an instruction page.

I decided to use both envelopes -- one for the tea bag, and the other I used to make a card and matching gift tag. The tea bag envelope is super easy. Just cut and fold. I inked the edges in black to give it a more distressed look and used double-side tape for the edges.

For the card, I cut out the front of the other tea envelope and adhered it to lavender paper that I decorated with photo corners. I added a ribbon and tiny butterfly embellishment. The get well messages is hand stamped. I then glued the entire panel to a white card. I used my craft punch for the tag and added a piece of lavender seam binding.

The colors on this envelope are so cheery! Wouldn't this make a great pick-up-me gift for a loved one who's been under the weather?

Live - Love - Laugh Cards

Happy Monday! I'm so pleased to announce that I'll be continuing on as part of the design team for Ewe-N-Me Printables in 2015!!

Today I'm featuring several cards I created using Deena's Primitive Labels - Live Love Laugh. You will get nine printable images on an 8.5"x 11" sheet -- with three of them being mini labels. I used three of the larger labels (3.5" x 2.5") to create three different cards. I printed the downloadable page on white cardstock and cut out three labels.

I adhered a piece of a vintage book page to a card, stapled a strip of ivory burlap ribbon and then glued on the label. The paper butterfly gives this card a bit of whimsy!

I love the fresh and simple look these labels gave to my cards. I used both ivory and pale blue cardstock. And, the subdued colors are a nice change after the vibrant colors of the holidays!

Most of all, though, I love the "Live Love Laugh" message! A wonderful way to start the new year!

Little Note Cards

Happy 2015 everyone!

Today I'm featuring a super-simple but super-charming note card set that features Ewe-N-Me Printable's Collage Sheet - New Year Kids. There are six different images in two different sizes -- for a total of twelve images!!

I printed off the sheet on white cardstock and cut out the images I wanted to use. The note card set I'm featuring today uses the small images which are 1.5" x 2.5".

I started off with six 3"x3" dark green note cards and layered each with a panel of vintage ledger paper. I then adhered one of the images to each card. The vibrant colors are so perfect against the dark green cards.

I stamped "2015" in teal blue ink on the edge of each card. I kept it easy and carefree by stamping the numbers in free form style. No precision alignment here!!!

 These images are so charming -- look at those sweet faces!!
